The US-based broadcasting channel Roku, which offers content in many different areas, has signed an important agreement. Roku Channel, which broadcasts for free, can now be watched on Google TV. Thus, Google TV and Android TV owners will now be able to watch free films and TV shows thanks to the Roku channel.

Roku Channel steps into Google and Android TVs

With more than 80,000 pieces of content, Roku Channel is also home to original productions. Google TV and Android users will also be able to watch Roku's WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story, Die Hart and The Great American Baking Show. More than 350 free live television channels are also available on Roku Channel.

You can download The Roku Channel to your Google TV or Android TV device via the Google Play Store. The best part is that it doesn't require any subscription or registration. You can start streaming immediately after downloading the app.

However, the Roku Channel gives you the option to add premium subscriptions to Starz, AMC Plus, MGM Plus and other content. However, these services are not available on other smart TV platforms, so it remains to be seen whether this option will be available on Google TV and Android devices.

According to the company, Roku Channel has reached more than 100 million people with its free films and TV series. The platform, which has so far been available only on Roku TVs, Samsung TVs and Amazon Fire TVs, will now have a wider usage area with the new agreement.

Roku TV, which constantly increases its content, seems to gain a new dimension with its agreement with Google. So what do you think about Roku TV and the free content it offers? You can share your opinions with us in the comments section.
